What Is High Definition?

It is the technology, inspired by Hollywood movies, that drastically increases the picture clarity and, in turn, the viewing audience's sense of hd - high definition improved your special events video quality'being there'. An average standard definition television provides only 480 lines of visible detail, while a high definition television allows for an incredible resolution of 1080 lines. A wedding filmed in high definition and received on a Blu-ray DVD takes advantage of every bit of detail, providing you with nearly 2.5 times the clarity of standard definition.

Unlike some other videography companies who can film in HD and then only offer only a standard definition DVD, LUMITONE films in HD and will provide you with High Definition Blu-ray Disc of your event. Although you may not yet have a high definition TV or Blu-ray DVD player at home, LUMITONE will also give you a standard definition DVD that you can watch with your current system. The next TV you buy will be HD and as high definition players become more common you will be able to relive your memories in amazingly vivid detail later by future proofing your memories now.

What Is Blu-Ray?

While current optical disc technologies such as DVD, DVD±R, DVD±RW, and DVD-RAM rely on a red laser to read and write data, the new formatBlu-ray technology ensures your wedding day video is of the finest quality uses a blue-violet laser instead, hence the name Blu-ray. Despite the different type of lasers used, Blu-ray products can easily be made backwards compatible with CDs and DVDs through the use of a BD/DVD/CD compatible optical pickup unit. The benefit of using a blue-violet laser (405nm) is that it has a shorter wavelength than a red laser (650nm), which makes it possible to focus the laser spot with even greater precision. This allows data to be packed more tightly and stored in less space, so it's possible to fit more data on the disc even though it's the same size as a CD/DVD.

Blu-ray is currently supported by about 200 of the world's leading consumer electronics, personal computer, recording media, video game and music companies. The format also has support from all Hollywood studios and countless smaller studios as a successor to today's DVD format.

Is Sound Important?sennhesier sound captures your I Dos

Video is 50% sound, so we use multiple Sennheiser wireless body-pack mics, as well as long range Sennheiser shotgun mics. We can also record directly from your event location's PA system and your DJ's mixing equipment using a portable digital 4-track recorder. We edit all the sound from your event, together with music, to suit your taste and style. The end result is a DVD mastered to Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound, which allows you to relive every laugh, every speech, every moment of your day.
